TOMBO™ Rock Mineral Wool

A high performance insulation material manufactured by spinning molten rocks, commonly used in industrial and commercial buildings.

The manufacturing process of rock mineral wool creates small pockets of trapped air between the fibers. These small pockets offers effective solution for Acoustic Control, Fire Safety Applications and Thermal Control.

Tombo Rock Mineral wool is MS 1020 certified by SIRIM Malaysia.

Typical Properties

Tombo insulation products have excellent sound absorbing properties and are classified as non-combustible when tested under BS 476 Pt 4. Tombo M.G. Products are available in either plain or faced with various grades of aluminum foil, Black Matt Tissue, etc.

Common Applications

It is widely used in Industrial applications providing thermal insulation solution and safety of heated equipment, process vessels and piping in power stations, petrochemical plants, petroleum refineries, oleo chemical plants, ovens and other process industries.

It is also used in a variety of building applications including roofing, partitions, ceilings, and curtain wall.
